How to Order a Student Loan Deferment

  • Beginning with Spring Quarter 1998 information, Sinclair began reporting enrollment data electronically to the National Student Loan Clearinghouse (NSLC).  Student requests for enrollment verification for loan deferment requests will be sent by the Office of Registration & Student Records weekly to the NSLC for processing.  Enrollment verification forms for loan deferment no longer will be mailed out or given back to the student.  NSLC will send information directly to the major loan guarantor agencies, thus speeding up greatly the transmittal of enrollment data to the guarantor agencies.

  • Students may request verification of enrollment for loan deferment by submitting the completed loan deferment form from your loan agency directly to the Office of Registration & Student Records, Building 10, Room 204. Student must be taking a minimum of 6 credit hours to get a deferment. Within a few months, most Sinclair students no longer will receive enrollment verification forms from their loan guarantor agencies.
