Food Assistance

Sinclair Students who are in need of free food supplies can use multiple resources at Sinclair as well as partner resources to help them meet the daily essentials for food. Some of them include:

 

Sinclair Resources

Sinclair Student Food Pantry

  • The Student Food Pantry is located in Building 13, Room 426. Please visit the Sinclair Food Pantry for availability dates and special announcements.

Sinclair Lunch Time Hunger Program

  • Free lunch provided, no questions asked.
    Location:  Building 13, Room 426
    Monday thru Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Homefull Mobile Grocery

  • Mobile Grocery is a store on wheels that comes to Sinclair and parks in the Building 14 parking lot on Tuesdays from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM
  • Provides staple grocery items such as meats, dairy, locally sourced fresh fruits, and vegetables, household items, and cleaning supplies.
  • Accepts cash, debit/credit cards, SNAP-EBT, Produce Perks, and other incentive programs.

Student Assistance Referral 

  • Assistance with connecting to resources regarding homelessness, housing insecurity, food insecurity, and/or medical/healthcare needs.
  •  Complete this Student Assistance Request Form and a Sinclair Staff Member will be reaching out to help you.

Community Resources

United Way 211 -  Call 2-1-1 For Essential Community Services/Resources. Get help paying bills, finding food, and locating other resources near you. Call 2-1-1 now for confidential help from a caring expert.

Montgomery County Job and Family Services – Apply for food (SNAP), cash, medical, and childcare assistance.  Photo ID, Social Security Card, and a 221 card are required.

City of Dayton Ohio.Gov Social Services – list resources for meal sites, crisis counseling, Emergency Shelter, other housing, homeless outreach, employment services, basic needs, healthcare, financial assistance, and legal assistance

Food Pantries.org – Search for food pantries, soup kitchens, food shelves, food banks and other food help, by state and city.  

Findhelp.org  – searchable database by zip code for resources to help with food, clothing, misc goods, housing, health, financial and other free or reduced cost programs.

Catholic Social Services of Miami Valley Food Pantry  Serving residents of neighborhoods in west and northwest Dayton. Providing access to services of a case manager providing information and linkages to other necessary social service programs.

New Paths - Tipp City Choice Food Pantry  serving all Miami County Residents, who provide a Photo ID and proof of residency (dated within the last 30 days).

St. Vincent De Paul of Dayton – providing emergency shelter, transitional and permanent supportive housing, food, clothing and household items, and guidance to leading a self-sustaining life.

Good Neighbor House – Providing assistance with medical, eye, dental, food/nutrition services, educational programs, as well as, faith and wellness services.

House of Bread – Serve hot lunches everyday starting at 11:00 am to 1:00 pm 365 days per year to those in need.

Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Community Support Center – programs offered: food pantry, support groups, variety of personal interest classes, Social Services assistance, school supplies, holiday assistance, birthday wishes program.

BOGG Ministries (Because of God’s Grace) – Assisting the Miamisburg, and the greater Dayton area with Food, clothing, and other essentials. Visit website for location and hours of service.

Life Enrichment Center – offers a hot breakfast, pantry, showers, haircuts, clothing, computer lab, mailbox, classes/activities.  Please visit website for service availability dates and times and client registration information.

Resources - Outside of Montgomery County

Warren County Community Resource Guide – referral for clothing, counseling services, disability services, employment, Family Supports, food pantries, homeless/housing, transportation, utility/emergency assistance.

Lutheran Social Services Food Pantries –  Assistance with food insecurity.  Please visit the website for pantry locations. Serving Athens, Delaware, Franklin County-West, Gallia, Guernsey, Lawrence, Meigs, Morgan, and Noble Counties in Ohio.
