Whether you are seeking to enter the workforce, transfer to a four-year institution or enhance your current skills, our division fosters the skills necessary for success. "Evicting the American Dream" documentary by Dr. Katherine Rowell, Sinclair Sociology Department

 

Congratulations to Dr. Kathy Rowell in completing her passion project, "Evicting the American Dream," a documentary focusing on the unhoused in Dayton, Ohio and in the U.S. The film premieres March 30, 2025, amplifying the voices and stories of children and families confronting eviction and homelessness. Through additional interviews with pediatric psychologists, social workers, tenant rights organizations, housing authority officials, and eviction lawyers, this film explores the root causes and systemic issues perpetuating this epidemic. Learn to move in classes designed for adults of all experience levels. Or study Dance Appreciation which offers an introduction to dance from a nonperforming perspective. More Info and Full Class List
Developmental Language Arts teaches developmental reading, english and is dedicated to the process of providing access to all students wishing to achieve a college degree. It offers a variety of courses aimed at assisting students to develop the academic skills necessary to accomplish this goal. Both personal and academic counseling are also available to help ensure student success. More Info and Full Class List

Calendar of Events

We invite you to attend a music performance or dance concert, or a theatre production in Blair Hall and to visit our art galleries in Building 13 and the Library. Check us out!

We are excited to announce the Liberal Arts, Communication and Social Sciences (LCS) Division Scholarship Fund.
