  • Spotlight on Clubs! -  Be sure to visit the Sinclair College Student Clubs & Organizations Hub (SCSCOH) on eLearn to find out which clubs are spotlighted during the month. If you are not yet enrolled in the SCSCOH, simply go to your My.Sinclair page, click on the eLearn module, click on DISCOVER, type "clubs" in the search bar, select the SCSCOH and enroll. Its FREE!
  • Wellness Wall - The JED Social Connectedness Committee would like to invite you to check out the Wellness Wall located on the glass panels inside Tartan Marketplace. Each month will have a new theme and a variety of great information to help you navigate the various challenges associated with being a college student and life in general.

Stop by the activity table to learn tips and "secrets" on how to get connected with clubs and organizations & be the first to have access to contests, free movie streaming & more!
  • Yoga on the Plaza - (09/10/24), 1:00 PM - 1:50 PM, Plaza behind buildings 4 & 5, Dayton Campus. Free Yoga class to destress. Join us at the Building 8 plaza on the green (located behind buildings 4 & 5). Yoga mats provided. Sinclair students, faculty and staff welcome!
  • Sinclair Talks: The NFL-Coaching, Management, Ownership and the Limited Opportunities Available - (09/16/24), 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, NW Loggia, Library, Dayton Campus or ZOOM online. #JoinUs and leave with a new understanding of the NFL and how it can be improved. In this presentation, we will discuss the Rooney Rule, how it came to be, and why diversity and inclusion at the highest levels of football still has a ways to go.   • Sinclair Talks: Healthy Planet, People & Pets - (09/17/24), 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Bldg 2-334, Green Room, Dayton Campus. Too often the connection between the health of the planet and human health is misunderstood. This presentation will provide information on environmental concerns, how they impact human health and how we can protect and heal both through education and practical actions.
  • Sinclair Talks: Candles, Crosses & Coverings - The FAQs of Faith - (09/17/24), 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM, Bldg 2-334, Green Room, Dayton Campus or ZOOM online. Do you ever wonder about the beliefs and practices of people from religious backgrounds that differ from your own? Join Multifaith Campus Chaplain, Paul Strozier, for an introductory overview of major world religions. Together, we will discover that we share much more in common than you may have previously thought as we explore core beliefs and how they shape real life for real people. This Sinclair Talk will help you cultivate empathy, understanding, and compassion for people who may look or act differently than you - knowledge you can use to enrich your own life, relationships, and impact. We will be joining the African American Student/Faculty/Staff Meet and Greet event! You don't want to miss it!
  • Speed Friending Hosted by LGBTQ+ Coordinator - (09/25/24), 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Library, L21, Dayton Campus. Join fellow LGBTQ+ and ally students for games, music, and fun! Make new friends and enjoy an afternoon of laughter and community.
  • Sinclair Talks: Listening for Understanding - (09/26/24), 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, NW Loggia, Library, Dayton Campus. Learn important foundations of listening. This interactive presentation will pair audience members with current Communication students to learn and practice an insightful listening skill.

  • Fall Mixer: Student Club & Organization Fair - (10/03/24), 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM, Outside of Building 10 Welcome Center, Dayton Campus. Visit tables and meet with members of student clubs & organizations for great conversation, fun activities, opportunities to join a club or organization of interest & Free Popcorn! Also, be sure to meet and greet with the therapy dog on site.
  • Maker Monday-Crafting Craze & Creative Capers - (10/07/24), 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM, CVA 102/Bldg A Lobby, Mason Campus. Student & Community Engagement, LGBTQ+ Support, Ombuds & the Campus Chaplain will be providing a variety of fun activities and crafts on the regional campuses.

  • Fall Harvest Fest - (10/10/24), 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Outside of Bldg 14, Dayton Campus. Join us for fall fun outside! Paint or dedazzle a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, try your luck at the Pumpkin Walk for prizes, enjoy a variety of flavored snow cones, popcorn, grab a bag and visit tables for goodies & so much more!   • Sinclair Talks: Defying Gravity! - (10/14/24), 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, NW Loggia, Library, Dayton Campus or ZOOM online. Using themes from "Wicked" and "The Wizard of Oz" the participants will learn how not to let people and events hold them back, or down.   • Sinclair Talks-Transfer 101: Who is the Transfer Center? - (10/14/24), 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM, NW Loggia, Library, Dayton Campus or ZOOM online. Students will learn about transfer support services available to them on campus and will be able to identify themselves as a transfer student or non-transfer student.   • Student Clubs & Orgs: Free Rice Challenge for World Food Day! - (10/14/24-10/18/24), All Week Long. Student Clubs & Organizations will compete by playing online trivia games hosted by the World Food Programme to help feed people in hunger crisis. Every correct answer = 10 grains of rice. Sinclair students will have an opportunity to go to the SCSCOH & vote on which club or organization will win for a chance to win Sinclair swag! The winning club will receive a pizza party ($60) value to be redeemed during one of their club meetings within the academic semester.
  • Sinclair Talks: Faith & Pride Fireside Chat - (10/15/24), 12:15 PM - 1:15 PM, Bldg 8, Stage Area, Dayton Campus. Sinclair LGBTQ+ Advocate, Lex Rakovan, and Multifaith Campus Chaplain, Paul Strozier, have cultivated a special friendship as they serve side by side in the Sinclair Community. Bring your questions and your lunch and join Lex and Paul for an open and honest discussion on religion and relationships and how we may overcome sometimes conflicting culture to cultivate authentic community.   • Sinclair Talks: EQ is for Everyone! - (10/21/24), 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM, NW Loggia, Library, Dayton Campus. You've heard of IQ but have you heard of EQ? EQ is emotional intelligence-our ability to understand our feelings and the feelings of others. It also includes our ability to manage our emotions, which is critical in any career field. Come learn how you rank with EQ and what you can do to improve it!

Join us in an open discussion to address how mental health issues are created and processed within the public sector.   • Doggies by Firelight @ Dayton - (11/07/24), 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM, Bldg 10, 1st floor by fireplace, Dayton Campus. Stop by the first floor of Building 10 and play with doggies by the fireplace. The Humane Society of Greater Dayton will have a variety of puppies/dogs to cuddle and love. This is a great way to destress! *If you are under the age of 18 and would like to participate, please click on this link to download a waiver form. We will have a wide variety of card games ranging from UNO to Crazy 8s. Simply stop by and get paired up with another player and/or bring your friends and let the games begin!

Join us as we put the principle into practice and make "blessing beads". All supplies and instructions will be provided to help you experience a session of calming creativity.
  • Sinclair Talks-Take Charge of Your Finances: Creating a Budget and Protecting Your Money - (11/18/24), 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, NW Loggia, Library, Dayton Campus or ZOOM online. After this session, students should feel more comfortable using Excel, thinking about their income and expenses, and also detecting possible scams or incorrect information in the future that they receive from social media, emails, mailers, or other real-world messages.   • Pawsitive Vibes: Dogs & Puppies @ Centerville! - (11/19/24), 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM, The Cafe, Centerville Campus. The Humane Society of Greater Dayton will be bringing a variety of canine "love and cuddles" to help lower your stress levels. Please be sure to stop by and enjoy this canine interaction activity. Waiver forms will be provided at the event. *If you are under the age of 18 years old and would like to participate in this event, please complete the waiver form for minors via this link. You must have your parental guardian(s) sign the form and then bring it with you to the event.
  • Tranquility for Trans Lives Vigil - (11/20/24), 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM, NW Loggia, Library, Dayton Campus. Join us for a candlelight peace vigil honoring trans lives lost, in celebration of Transgender Day of Remembrance. Resources and resilience information will be provided.
  • Sinclair Talks-Transfer 101: Transfer Timeline and Selecting a Transfer Pathway - (11/21/24), 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM, Bldg 8, Stage Area, Dayton Campus. Students will be able to identify where they are on the transfer timeline and create personalized action steps for transfer by the end of the session.
  • Pawsitive Vibes: Meet & Greet with Charlee the Therapy Dog @ Mason! - (11/25/24), 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM, CVA 102/Bldg A Lobby, Mason Campus. Stop by and meet the lovable Charlee, a sweet chocolate labrador and emotional support dog. Learn about the impact of emotional support dogs and therapy dogs, while getting some doggy love to help lower your stress levels.
  • Sinclair Talks-Networking 101: The Importance of Networking in Finding an Internship - (11/26/24), 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, NW Loggia, Library, Dayton Campus. The Office of Work-Based Learning will provide a 1-hour presentation about Networking and its importance in your work journey. Resources will be provided along with hands-on experiences during the session.

  • Winter Wonderland - (12/03/24), 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM, Bldg 8 Stage Area, Dayton Campus. Take a break and decorate a cookie by the digital fireplace. Need a change of scenery while you study? Winter Wonderland is also a place where you can find a peaceful nook and cram for that exam. Feeling artsy and/or crafty? Make an ornament and/or destress in the art zone. If you are feeling a bit "gamey" then walk over to the game room and play video games, board games, card games, arcades, foosball, ping pong, air hockey and more!
  • Sinclair Talks: Interviewing 101-Interviewing Tips to Land an Internship - (12/05/24), 10:00 AM -11:00 AM, ZOOM ONLINE ONLY. The Work-Based Learning office will share a 1-hour presentation about interviewing tips and best practices while showing live demonstrations of the process and practice.
