Talent Ready Grants Program

The Ohio Department of Higher Education has created the Talent Ready Grant Program to support students as they work to complete short-term certificate programs linked to jobs that are in high demand in our local communities.

Once the application is submitted, it will be reviewed, and you will receive further instructions from the Admissions Office regarding the next steps. Please note that the Talent Ready Grant is available on a first-come, first-served basis while funding lasts, and cannot be guaranteed for future semesters.

What does the Talent Ready Grant cover?

Up to $5000, including tuition, books, fees, and other expenses related to education.

Is the Talent Ready Grant awarded based on need?

FAFSA completion is not required for the Ohio Talent Ready grant. If a FAFSA is on file at the time of awarding, it will pay after Pell or other “gift” aid (grants and scholarships that do not require repayment) but before federal student loans to a maximum of $5,000 per term or up to COA (Cost of Attendance), whichever is lower. If the FAFSA is completed after awarding, the Talent Ready Grant may be reduced by the amount of Pell Grant or other “gift” aid.
