High School Merit Scholarships
High school scholarships are offered to rising high school seniors (Class of 2025) who will be graduating high school in 2025 and are planning to enroll at Sinclair as full-time students for the 2025-26 school year. These scholarships range from $2,000 - $3,000 per year. Applications open December 1, 2024 and close Friday, February 27, 2025 at midnight EST. Students apply by clicking the red “Apply Online to Scholarships” button at www.sinclair.edu/scholarships and entering their Sinclair username and password to complete a General Application.
Application Process
- Applications for Class of 2025 high school graduates will be accepted from December 1, 2024 until February 27, 2025 at midnight EST
- Application must include an electronic copy of the student’s unofficial high school transcript and a letter of recommendation to be uploaded into the application system
- Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis
Presidential Scholarship - $3,000 per year
- Montgomery County resident
- 3.5 cumulative high school GPA at the time of application
- Scholarship will be applied first toward tuition and fees; any unused funds may be used for books
- Requires full time (12+ hours) enrollment in fall and spring semesters
- Renewable for a second year based on minimum earned credit of 30 credit hours with a 3.0 GPA by the end of the student’s first year
Virginia McNeal Trustee Scholarship - $2,000 per year
- Montgomery County resident
- 3.0 cumulative high school GPA at time of application
- Scholarship will be applied first toward tuition and fees; any unused funds may be used for books
- Requires full-time (12+ hours) enrollment in fall and spring semesters
- Renewable for second year based on minimum earned credit of 30 credit hours with 3.0 GPA by the end of the student’s first year
Regional Scholarship - $2,000 per year
- Non-Montgomery County resident
- 3.0 cumulative high school GPA
- Scholarship will be applied toward tuition and fees; any unused funds may be used for books
- Requires full-time (12+ hours) enrollment in fall and spring semesters
- Renewable for second year based on minimum earned credit of 30 credit hours with 3.0 GPA by the end of the student’s first year
