High School Merit Scholarship Information
High school scholarships are offered to rising high school seniors graduating from high school in 2026 and planning to enroll at Sinclair as full-time students for the 2026-27 school year. These scholarships range from $2,000 - $3,000 per year. Applications open December 1, 2025.
Application Process
- Applications for Class of 2026 high school graduates will be accepted starting December 1, 2025
- Application must include an electronic copy of the student’s unofficial high school transcript and a letter of recommendation
- Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis
Presidential Scholarship - $3,000 per year
- Montgomery County resident
- 3.5 cumulative high school GPA at the time of application
- Scholarship will be applied first toward tuition and fees; any unused funds may be used for books
- Requires full time (12+ hours) enrollment in fall and spring semesters
- Renewable for a second year based on minimum earned credit of 30 credit hours with a 3.0 GPA by the end of the student’s first year
Virginia McNeal Trustee Scholarship - $2,000 per year
- Montgomery County resident
- 3.0 cumulative high school GPA at time of application
- Scholarship will be applied first toward tuition and fees; any unused funds may be used for books
- Requires full-time (12+ hours) enrollment in fall and spring semesters
- Renewable for second year based on minimum earned credit of 30 credit hours with 3.0 GPA by the end of the student’s first year
Regional Scholarship - $2,000 per year
- Non-Montgomery County resident
- 3.0 cumulative high school GPA
- Scholarship will be applied toward tuition and fees; any unused funds may be used for books
- Requires full-time (12+ hours) enrollment in fall and spring semesters
- Renewable for second year based on minimum earned credit of 30 credit hours with 3.0 GPA by the end of the student’s first year
