  • William S. Segar becomes Education Director

1935 G. H. McConaughy is Director of the Junior College

  • Technical School - 285 students
  • Commerce School - 276 students
  • Liberal Arts & Evening High School - 147 students each

1943 C. Chester Bussey becomes Director of the YMCA College
1946
  • G.I. Bill enables many veterans to attend college
  • Day College begins
1948
  • Name is officially changed to Sinclair College of the YMCA
  • Annex Building at 113 West Monument Avenue is purchased for the growing school
1952 Work-Study Program begun for evening students
1953 First self-study completed
1957 Director Bussey becomes President
1959 Sinclair College receives separate incorporation
1960
  • College receives a grant from the Dayton Foundation to conduct a North Central Association self-study for accreditation
  • Last Bachelor's Degree awarded
1962 75th Anniversary of Sinclair College celebrated
