- Site for new campus is selected
- One-mill ten-year levy approved

- Edward Durell Stone and Associates chosen as architect for the new campus
- Creative Writing Workshops begin
- Marvin Knudson becomes Sinclair Community College President
- Former President Chester Bussey becomes the first Provost

- Sinclair approved for membership in the Ohio College Association
- Ground broken for the new campus on August 22

- Sinclair receives accreditation by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools
- Helen Peterson becomes the first faculty member to attain the rank of Professor
- Former President Chester Bussey retires

- Sinclair Community College moves to its new 7-building, 20-acre campus at 444 West Third Street
