Welcome from the Dean

Rena Shuchat Dean, Health Sciences Sinclair Community College is recognized for graduating some of the best health care workers in the region.  We are proud to offer more than 50 accredited associate degrees, one-year certificates, and short-term certificates that lead to a prosperous and rewarding career.  Our credentialing exam pass rates exceed benchmarks, our graduate employment rates are continuously over 85%, and our employer satisfaction rates are stellar.  We also have articulation agreements with many universities for those Sinclair graduates who are interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree.

The mission of the Health Sciences division is to educate the students of the communities we serve to become competent and compassionate health professionals through the use of cutting-edge technology, health and wellness activities, evidence-based practice and inter-professional initiatives.   Our faculty and students not only work hard in the classroom, but also within the community we serve, through various clinical experiences and service-learning opportunities.

Our 140,000 square foot Sifferlen Health Sciences Center provides students with the opportunity to replicate healthcare scenarios that mirror real life experiences, utilizing human-patient simulators. The healthcare technology Sinclair students practice with is some of the best available and comparable to what is used in leading medical schools. You can preview the simulation center at https://www.sinclair.edu/academics/divisions/hs/simulation-center/.
