AGR 1209 Greenhouse Management Capstone

This course is the culminating course in the greenhouse management certificate. This course combines the knowledge obtained in AGR 1201 through AGR 1208 resulting in an applicable working understanding of how to manage a greenhouse in today's economy. Two classroom, two lab hours per week.

Outcomes

  • Students will combine the knowledge and skills obtained from AGR 1201 through gr 1208 to produce a rubric -based portfolio that includes samples of the following: mastered greenhouse tasks, propagation techniques, ecosystem maintenance / enhancement, business reports, and marketing ideas.
  • Students will utilize knowledge and skills obtained in AGR 1201 through AGR 1208 to manage a state-of-the-art container production greenhouse through the development of a business plan.
  • Students will develop a marketing plan based on the identified customer profile. Strategies to encourage business growth will be evaluated.
