ISE 1313 Coordinate Measurement
Course will prepare students to use and program coordinate measurement machines, apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles, and use advanced operating techniques for a servo driven coordinate measuring device. Two classroom, two lab hours per week.
Division: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
Department: Industrial & Systems Engineering Technology
Repeatable Credit: No
Offered Online: No
Prereqs: ISE 1300
Outcomes
- Demonstrate the ability to operate a Direct Computer Controlled (DCC) Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
- Create basic part alignments, measure / construct basic part features with or without CAD models.
- Create Manual/DCC programs using PC-DMIS programming Software on a CMM that will measure the dimensional characteristics of a sample part. Programing will include simple report generation, trouble shooting of software and editing.
