MAT 2700 Mathematics Internship
Students work at an approved mathematics related industry site and will earn credits toward degree requirements for their work experiences. Students already working may apply to use that experience to meet internship requirements. Students prepare and submit reports and/or projects describing their industry experience and are evaluated by the course instructor as well as their on-site supervisor. Ten work hours per week per credit hour.

Outcomes
- Student will complete all required entry level training at the internship site. Student should develop their mathematics skill sets and problem solving skills while maintaining a professional demeanor in an industry setting. Satisfactory performance on the job as indicated by the on-site supervisor.
- Student will submit a final report summarizing their mathematics related activities, projects and experiences as their final assessment.
- Students will maintain a written journal describing their weekly activities during the internship. Students will communicate their activities and progress to their faculty mentor on a regular basis.
