About Health Sciences

The Health Sciences (HS) Division at Sinclair Community College educates the students of the communities we serve to become competent and compassionate health professionals through the use of cutting-edge technology, health and wellness activities, evidence-based  practice and inter-professional initiatives.

Promoting health and wellness, the Health Sciences (HS) division has earned a strong reputation for preparing professionals to encourage healthy lifestyles, assess levels of wellness and treat compromised health. Students should recognize that there are inherent risks associated with working in the fields of health sciences, including but not limited to, exposure to communicable diseases.

Our division offers a variety of courses, certifications and degrees in many healthcare occupations. With new admissions options, improved waitlisting and streamlined transferability, our division ensures you the ability to achieve your goals with ease.

It is VERY important for you to speak with an ACADEMIC ADVISOR, 937-512-3700,  to make sure you are scheduling the correct classes for your program of choice.

Students under the age of 18 years may not be permitted by the external sites to participate in clinicals/practicums/field experiences; therefore, this could delay a student’s progress through the curriculum. Please contact the department chair for the program of interest if you have additional questions.

Important Information about Health Sciences Programs: The Health Sciences (HS) Programs consist of open enrollment courses (general education and division specific) and program specific courses with limited enrollment.
